Simchas Torah Women’s Tisch

Katanga Shule is hosting a Simchas Torah Women’s Tisch on Simchas Torah night, Thursday night 20 October 2011 at 8:30pm, upstairs at Shule.

All women are invited to come and celebrate Simchas Torah with good wine and good friends hosted by Yael Hersham.

An election is being called for all positions on the board. Only mispalilim who are not more that the current year's debts outstanding are eligible to vote.

    We conduct Bedikas Chometz with the Chametz to be finished eaten by 9:57am & burnt by 11:08am on Monday 18 April 2011. Please see Alek Kwiatkowski for those wishing to sell their Chometz through the Shule.

    Monday 18 April 2011 is Erev Pesach and Taanis Bechorim - the Fast of the First Born.
    As usual the Shule will be hosting Siyumim after both the first Minyan with Reb Beirish Aurbach and the second Minyan with Gary Schmidt, attendance at which absolves the requirement to Fast - details here - photos here.

    Rabbi Baruch Rubanowitz.

    The Rav specializes in medical and business halacha. Originally from LA, he practices as a Dayan at Beis Din Nesivos Chaim in Mattesdorf, as Rav of Kehillat Kol Rina in Nachlaot, and as a mohel in the Yerushalayim-Beit Shemesh area. He also teaches regularly, counsels and is a professional mediator for business negotiations and family matters. He has written many articles on Jewish ethics and halacha.

    Following the Bris, the Shule enjoyed a breakfast Seudas Mitzvah celebrating this occasion at which the father Ronny Kowadlo and Rabbi Dovid Rubinfeld spoke.

    Following the Bris, the Shule enjoyed a Seudas Mitzvah celebrating this occasion at which the father Leible Sziewicz, the grandfathers Yankel Sziewicz & Rabbi Chaim Jacobs from Scotland and Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Groner all spoke.
